Driving Assessments

Our Driving Assessments are Categorized as a Tier 2A Assessment.

• This is considered a “pre-driving assessment” and does NOT include an on-road portion at this time.

These assessments are completed by our Occupational Therapists.

The assessment duration is a 3 hour appointment and is $395

• The first 1-2 hours are with the therapist. An array of physical, cognitive, and visual tests are completed including reaction time.

• Each test component is backed by research showing correlation to on-road performance.

Completion of assessment

• After this assessment is completed, the Occupational Therapist will provide a brief summary of the results. A full report is also sent to your regular physician, as well as to Driver Fitness and Monitoring.

• Based on the assessment, 1 of 3 recommendations may be made by the Occupational Therapist:

  1) Cease driving due to significant concerns,

  2) Resume driving as no concerns were identified,

  3) On-road assessment to be completed.

• Your Physician and Driver Fitness and Monitoring will determine the next steps.
